ABOUT ANDY TANKMAR.

Born on Frederiksberg and raised in the vibrant theatre district of Frederiksberg Allé, Denmark, Andy Tankmar is a multifaceted Creative Director and Consultant whose influence spans fashion, branding, and visual storytelling across industries. A graduate in Marketing from Copenhagen Business Academy, Andy’s creative journey began under the mentorship of the founders of Miinto.com and Danish fashion icon Mads Nørgaard.

With time spent living and creating in Stockholm and New York, his aesthetic has evolved into a distinctive blend of Scandinavian minimalism and global edge—a fusion of precision, boldness, and cultural intuition.

Andy gained national recognition in Denmark when international artists like G-Eazy, Chris Brown, Tinashe, and Tory Lanez began showcasing his fashion and sportswear designs on Instagram—catapulting his work into the international fashion scene.

As a consultant, Andy offers end-to-end creative support for both personal and corporate branding—guiding everything from strategic direction, tone of voice, style guides, and font selection to hands-on content creation. His design portfolio includes product, packaging, and logo development for brands such as Jack & Jones, Mads Nørgaard, Ecco, Jägermeister, his own label Tankmar™, and more.

Outside the world of design, Andy is also a musician, with his debut EP slated for release in 2025.

Deeply inspired by the Bauhaus movement and visionary creatives like Virgil Abloh™, YE, Travis Scott, Demna, Pharrell, Jerry Lorenzo, Matthew Williams, and Marc Jacobs, Andy’s work is driven by a unique alchemy of people, places, and purpose.

"A bit of them, and that world, always finds its way into my work."

MULTI-HYPHENATE

Meaning: The notion of work has shifted away from simply doing a job to building a career, and the hyphen has become shorthand to conflate personal identity with professional capability. The rise of the “multi-hyphenate” has ironically eliminated the need for any specificity at all, instead implying a complex creative identity grounded in a jack-of-all trades ideal that conflates production potential with individual worth.
